This Privacy Policy describes how the above-named entity ( referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards personal information that we collect when you interact with us in person (such as by making a donation), or that we may collect when you visit one of our websites, use our mobile applications, communicate with us through social media, and/or use any other online service that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”). We are a member of the Kraft Group of companies (the “Kraft Group”). Privacy policies may vary by company within the Kraft Group. This privacy policy applies to any information that is collected or obtained through this website or by any other means or websites that reference this policy.

Donation Information

When you make a donation, we collect information such as your name, billing address, shipping address, e-mail address, and phone number, and we use a third-party vendor to collect and process your credit or debit card information. 

We may use this information to complete our contract with you in the provision of certain services. We also have a legitimate interest in providing donation related functionalities to our users. If you choose not to provide this information, we may be unable to accept donations from you.

Business Customer and Client Information

We may collect the name and contact information of employees and representatives of the business clients with whom we may interact.

We have a legitimate interest in contacting our customers and clients and communicating with them concerning normal business administration such as projects, services, and billing, as well as contracts we may have with our clients and customers.

Cookies and first party tracking

We have a legitimate interest in making our website operate efficiently and providing website services. Among other things, this information helps us to recognize you when you return to our websites.

Applications for Employment and Prospective Employees.

If you apply for a job posting we collect information necessary to process your application or to retain you as an employee. This may include, among other things, your Social Security Number. Providing this information is required for employment.

We may collect this information to comply with our legal requirements. We also have a legitimate interest in processing applications for employment. We review and process your application information to decide whether we can offer you a job position. If you choose not to provide this information, we may be unable to process your application of employment.

Feedback/Support

If you provide us feedback or contact us for support we may collect your name and e-mail address, as well as any other content that you send to us, in order to reply.

We have a legitimate interest in receiving, and acting upon, your feedback or issues.

Mailing Lists/Newsletters

When you sign up for one of our mailing lists or newsletters, we collect your name and email address.

We share information about our services and those of third parties with individuals that consent to receive such information. We also have a legitimate interest in sharing information about those services.

Mobile Devices

To the extent we maintain and use personal information in a deidentified form, we will not attempt to reidentify the information, except for the purpose of determining whether our deidentification processes satisfy our legal obligations.

If you fail to provide certain personal information when requested, we may not be able to perform obligations that we have to you (such as providing a benefit) or we may be prevented from complying with our legal obligations (such as to ensure the health and safety of our employees).



Sharing Of Information.

In addition to the specific situations discussed elsewhere in this policy, we may disclose information in the following situations:

  1. Affiliates and Acquisitions. We may share information with our affiliated organizations, for use in accordance with their own privacy notices, including without limitation, the Kraft Group. If another company acquires, or plans to acquire, our company, business, or our assets, we will also share information with that company, including at the negotiation stage.

  2. Other Disclosures with Your Consent. We may ask if you would like us to share your information with other unaffiliated third parties who are not described elsewhere in this policy.

If the Service does not permit you to update or correct certain information, you may request that your information be modified by contacting us at the address described below. Note that we may keep historical information in our backup files as permitted by law.

  2. Deletion Of Your Personal Information. Typically, we retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. You may, however, request information about how long we keep a specific type of information, or you may request that we delete your personal information by submitting a Data Privacy Request Form or by contacting us at the address described below. If required by law we will grant a request to delete information, but you should note that in many situations we must keep your personal information to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for another one of our business purposes. Please note that we cannot delete your personal information without deleting your account. If you delete your User Contributions from the Services, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied or stored by other users of the Services.

  3. Objection to Certain Processing. You may object to our use or disclosure of your personal information by contacting us at the address described below.

 

  1. Promotional Emails. You may choose to provide us with your email address for the purpose of allowing us to send free newsletters, surveys, offers, and other promotional materials to you, as well as targeted offers from third parties. You can stop receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in e-mails that you receive. If you decide not to receive promotional emails, we may still send you service-related communications.

  2. Promotional Mailings. If at any time you do not want to receive information, invitations, and/or offers from us by standard mail, you can remove yourself from our mailing lists by emailing us (our contact information is below) with “NO SNAIL MAIL” in the subject line along with your name, address and zip code. Please note that our mailings are prepared in advance of their being sent. Although we will remove your name from our mailing list after receiving your request, you may still receive mailings from us that had been initiated prior to your name being removed.

  3. Promotional Text Messages. If you receive a text message from us that contains promotional information you can opt-out of receiving future text messages by replying “STOP.”

  4. Revocation Of Consent. If you revoke your consent for the processing of personal information then we may no longer be able to provide you Services. In some cases, we may limit or deny your request to revoke consent if the law permits or requires us to do so, or if we are unable to adequately verify your identity. Please note that opt-out requests may take some time to be effective where permitted by applicable law. Your opt-out requests will not apply to messages that you request or that are not commercial in nature.

Note that , we may require you to prove your identity. In some circumstances, you may designate an authorized agent to submit requests to exercise certain privacy rights on your behalf. If you are an authorized agent submitting a request on behalf of an individual, you must attach a copy of a completed Authorized Agent Designation Form indicating that you are able to act on another person’s behalf.



How We Protect Personal Information

No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is fully secure. While we use reasonable efforts to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information. In the event that we are required by law to inform you of a breach to your personal information we may notify you electronically, in writing, or by telephone, if permitted to do so by law.

  • Transmission Of Information to Other Countries Within Kraft Group. We may transmit information between and among our affiliated companies and business partners. As a result, your information may be processed in a foreign country where privacy laws may be less stringent than the laws in your country. If applicable, you may request a copy of any Standard Contractual Clauses we use for the transfer of your data outside of the EEA, which includes the categories of information transferred, by contacting us using the contact information below.

  • Transmission of Information to Other Countries Outside of Kraft Group. In order to provide you with the Services and to improve our business operations, we may transmit information to our vendors in a foreign country where privacy laws may be less stringent than the laws in your country. If applicable, you may request a copy of any Standard Contractual Clauses we use for the transfer of your data outside of the EEA, which includes the categories of information transferred, by contacting us using the contact information below.

  • Transmission Of Information to the United States. If you submit your personal information directly to one of our corporate affiliates in the United States, you agree to the transfer, storage and processing of your information in the United States.

  • Third Party Applications/Websites. We have no control over the privacy practices of websites or applications that we do not own.

  • Changes To This Privacy Policy. It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will notify users through a notice on the Website home page and/or by email to users for whom we have an email address. The date the privacy policy was last updated is identified at the top of the page. If you choose to visit our website or use the Services, you are responsible for checking the privacy policy periodically.

  • Accessibility. If you are visually impaired, you may access this notice through your browser’s audio reader.

  • Children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as defined by local law. Our websites are not intended for children under 13 years of age (or such legally required higher age of children being lawfully able to provide consent). We may collect the following personal information (1) from donors who donate online via Solidus/Authorize.net or PayPal, or who donate off-line by any means, (2) from those who sign up for our newsletter, (3) from those who request a pin, (4) from those who complete the “Contact Us” form, or (5) from those who attend one of our events: some or all of the following information: name, email address, mailing address, phone number, organization, and/or job title. Donor personal information is generally not disclosed to third parties. However, if necessary your personal information, such as name and mailing address, may be disclosed to our service providers to fulfil the order.
